Living

Here's the garage-side front of our house on Julia Court, where we and all our guests arrive at the house. Just to the right is a gate with an intercom and a passage way to the real "front door" on the west side of the house.

Here's the real "front door" on the west side of the house with the newly stained fence.

The back of the house with the deck, slider to the kitchen, and balcony off the master bedroom above.

The lawn is coming in nicely and it is quite enjoyable.

The garage is in much better shape after 3 hours of organizing yesterday afternoon. I am looking forward to having shelves hooks and organizers. We will soon be able to fit a guest's car in it along with ours.

Our area rugs finally came in and it truly makes the basement a great place for playing.

The rugs really make the living area more comfortable too.

The kitchen is a dream come true.

Here are our finished stair railings. We are happy we chose to do them in white. Its quite a bit safer with them in place.

The nursery is pretty much ready. Due date is two months from today - crazy!

Here's a shot of the master bedroom and bath beyond. Its quite a treat.

We're Officially Moved In!

We moved in last weekend and have been busy working - and playing - ever since! Noah loves the backyard...

Working hard packing up the last few things in our old kitchen...pregnant belly and all!

The disaster that was left when the dust settled on Sunday night...

Noah's first morning waking up in his big boy bed - he LOVES it!

First breakfast...

My dad and Jeff worked from dawn till dusk (and beyond) every day - here they are finishing the fence on the front side of our house.

My mom served as Noah's personal nanny while I unpacked inside :-)

My parents and Ray and Tracy got Noah this awesome parking garage playset for his birthday and we saved it for a new-house present. Needless to say, he loves it and it kept him occupied through some of the busyness.

I even got handy with a drill!

Here are some move-in pics that my mom took - thanks again for all your help with the move, Mom and Dad. We couldn't have done it without you!!!!!

Looking at the house from the backyard - that's our master bedroom and balcony above...

Noah's new bed...

Our new bed...

Backyard from the kitchen...

Railing and stairs that Dad built (complete with a lower "Noah railing")...

Dining area, for now...the card table is a nice touch, isn't it? We left our dining table in our old house while we're still trying to sell it.

It's so good to finally be moved in! We feel incredibly blessed and are so thankful for our new home!

Painting

The exterior and interior painting is almost done! Here is a view from our street:

The lighter gray areas are what haven't been painted yet.

These two pictures show the painting on the front of the house from the other street:

The posts for the gate along the front of the house are in - the spaces in between will be filled in by a thin wire mesh fencing so light can still get through to our basement windows.

Basement playroom colors (it's a light slate blue on the far wall):

Stairs to basement are finished:

There's only one coat of this orange in the dining room so far, but we love it!

Lesley's melon laundry room:

Baby brother's room - there will also be an 18" blue stripe 12" up from the baseboard.

Wall of cedar behind the master bed - Jeff's masterpiece!

Guest room:

Noah's room - our best color picks by far!

Kids/guest bathroom:
