A/V Wiring

Nick and his friend Dan came by last weekend to help with some A/V wiring. Dan is a professional and his expertise was extremely helpful and appreciated. It was freezing for the three hours we spent there but we made quick work of it. Nick posed nicely for the picture below.

The Basement

Here are some pictures of the basement playroom/guestroom/workout room. We've decided to take out the wall that's between the two rooms to make it one large great room. The view above is the back corner, below is looking toward the entryway from the back of the basement.

Above we are looking into the basement from the hallway, below is looking down that same hallway.

Below is looking up from the basement into the entryway, which gets a lot of great light.

The Holiday Slow Down & Related Issues

The Holiday season along with a lot of cold, snowy weather and some structural engineering issues slowed down our progress quite a bit over the last month and a half. A good deal of the electrical, plumbing and HVAC has been roughed in and we finally got our rubber roof put on last week. This is a significant step in finishing the interior. We are currently waiting on some structural steel frames to be put in some walls to ensure the integrity of the building, then we will be able to wrap up the elec, plumbing, HVAC, and framing. From there we will do the insulation, drywall, flooring. Our schedule has pushed us back to finishing in May as opposed to April.

As you can se by the pictures, the city has been busy over the cold months by putting in a guard rail at the end of Chanay street. They also installed some No Parking signs to keep cars from parking right in front of our door. The city really came through for us on this and we are nicely surprised and happy because of it.
